KMCLU panel okays new courses
LUCKNOW, Feb. 5 -- BA Music (vocal) programme under the faculty of fine arts and PhD programmes in faculty of law studies and departments of pharmacy and biotechnology engineering will soon begin at Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University. The approval for the same was given by the 25th Academic Council of the university chaired by prof Ajay Taneja, vice-chancellor, on Wednesday.
The other courses also approved were MSc Zoology, MSc Biotechnology, MSc Microbiology, MA Sociology, MA Sanskrit, BA Psychology, MTech Structural Engineering (as per AICTE norms), BTech Cyber Security BA Awadhi and a certificate course in the Awadhi language under the Awadhi Research Chair, BSc and MSc Home Science. Specialised subjects will be taught by industry experts.
Additionally, MTech Biotechnology will be offered as an AI-integrated degree.
The academic council also approved the launch of a 30-hour "AI for Everyone" certificate programme for all departments. This course will be conducted as a value-added course for all undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD students. To encourage research and develop a robust research ecosystem, a seminar policy was also approved as part of which financial assistance of Rs 20,000 for university-level seminars, Rs 1 lakh for national seminars, and Rs 2 lakh for international seminars will be provided. htc...
