LUCKNOW, Jan. 2 -- An MBBS intern at the King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, has been booked after a nursing student from some other institution here lodged a police complaint against him for her alleged sexual exploitation and intimidation on the pretext of marriage. The complaint, filed at Kaiserbagh police station on Wednesday, alleged that the accused also threatened to circulate her obscene pictures on social media. According to the FIR, the student, who resides in a paying guest accommodation in Lucknow, met the doctor at his flat in Kaiserbagh some time ago. The victim alleged that the doctor first befriended her and later drew her into a relationship. She further alleged that the accused later sexually exploited her on the pretext of marriage. The complainant alleged that when she insisted on marriage, the accused refused and verbally abused her, threatening to post her explicit images online. Deputy commissioner of police (west), Vishwajeet Srivastava confirmed that an FIR was registered against the doctor who is doing an internship at the KGMU and hails from Bareilly. "Police are tracing his full residential details and will record the victim's statement before a magistrate to determine the next course of action," he added.
