LUCKNOW, Feb. 14 -- The social welfare department on Friday suspended Sunil Kumar Bisen, joint director of the department following serious irregularities in the selection process for course coordinator positions under the Chief Minister's Abhyudaya Scheme, a spokesperson said. A departmental inquiry has been initiated after prima facie negligence was found. During the suspension period, Sunil Kumar Bisen, joint director will remain attached to the directorate and will receive a subsistence allowance as per rules. Minister of state (independent charge) for social welfare, Aseem Arun, received a confidential complaint regarding irregularities in the selection process.
