LUCKNOW, Feb. 13 -- A 40-year-old construction worker died after falling from the fifth floor of an under-construction building in Gomti Nagar Extension on Thursday. The deceased, identified as Surendra Kumar Mahto, a native of Palamau in Jharkhand, had been working at the under construction Apartments for the past three months. Police said he fell into the basement while working and suffered severe head injuries. Fellow labourers rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Inspector Sudhir Awasthi said the body was sent for post-mortem and later handed over to the family. No complaint has been received so far. HTC...
