VARANASI, Feb. 6 -- The Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU), Varanasi, is set to host Jagriti 2026, its annual socio-awareness festival from February 6 to 8, 2026. Organised under the aegis of the Social Service Council (SSC), IIT-BHU, the fest-Jagriti- is a flagship initiative dedicated to fostering social consciousness, civic responsibility and youth-led dialogue on pressing societal issues. Providing details about the event, councilor of SSC, Dr Suresh Dhoble stated that Jagriti 2026 will feature a diverse range of competitions, interactive events, exhibitions and awareness-driven activities, each addressing key challenges faced by society today. These initiatives aim to encourage critical thinking, empathy, and the development of actionable solutions among students as well as the wider community.
