Indo-France Centre for AI in health launched
New Delhi, Feb. 19 -- India and France on Tuesday launched the Indo-French Centre for AI in Health at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi, with French President Emmanuel Macron stating that France will simplify visa and sourcing procedures for Indian students and expand English-taught courses, further calling for the two countries to build "their own trusted AI systems" and reduce dependence on technologies developed elsewhere."
The centre was inaugurated by Emmanuel Macron and Union health minister JP Nadda during the President's visit to India. The initiative will focus on advancing AI-driven research, medical education and clinical innovation, particularly in areas such as brain health and global healthcare systems.
During the inauguration the Macron said, "India and France are committed to developing the computing capacity and talent necessary to build our own trusted AI systems, as we cannot rely solely on technologies created and managed elsewhere."...
