Home Guard exam ends with steady turnout on 3rd day
LUCKNOW, April 28 -- The three-day Uttar Pradesh Home Guard Enrolment-2025 written examination concluded on Monday with a consistent turnout, as Day 3 recorded an attendance of 76.28%, according to an official press note issued by the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
On the final day, April 27, a total of 643,864 candidates appeared for the examination out of 844,070 scheduled across 1,053 centres in 74 districts.
Cumulatively, the examination held over April 25, 26, and 27 saw a total of 19,29,155 candidates appear out of 25,32,202 scheduled, translating to an overall attendance of 76.18%.
The final day's turnout remained largely in line with previous days, indicating stable participation levels. Day 2 had recorded the highest attendance at 76.94%, while Day 1 saw 75.33% of candidates turn up.
The recruitment examination, aimed at filling 41,424 Home Guard posts, was conducted under extensive security measures.
Meanwhile, multiple incidents of cheating, impersonation, and document forgery were detected during the written examination on all three days, prompting police to register cases and make several arrests....
