PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 21 -- The Allahabad high court on Friday stayed the February 3 order of a single judge directing the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to revise the entire merit list for CLAT-UG 2026 for future counselling. A division bench comprising justice Saumitra Dayal Singh and justice Indrajeet Shukla passed the order on a special appeal filed by the Consortium challenging the February 3 judgement. In the earlier ruling, the single judge had held that the high-powered 'Oversight Committee' arbitrarily overruled subject matter experts on a disputed question without assigning reasons. The single judge had directed the Consortium to treat two options - 'B' and 'D' - as correct for Question No. 9 (Booklet C), as well as for corresponding questions in other booklets of CLAT-UG 2026, and to republish the merit list within one month....
