Hathras SP suspends two cops for negligence
Agra, April 9 -- Hathras superintendent of police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha suspended incharge of a police outpost and a beat constable, and ordered a departmental probe against them after they were found negligent in the matter of the death of a property dealer whose body was recovered from a drain. The deceased had earlier expressed apprehension about a threat to his life, but the police took no action.
The body of property dealer Ved Prakash Sharma aka Sonu, was found from a drain within limits of Sahpau police station of Hathras on Tuesday. His sister and resident of Agra, Neetu Sharma lodged a case at Kotwali police station of Hathras against two brothers, Gaurav and Kamal living in the same locality where the Sonu lived.
The family members alleged that the deceased had raised apprehension about threat to his life five days ago.
SP Hathras Chiranjeev Nath Sinha took the matter seriously and suspended Dharmendra Niranjan, the incharge of Sadabad outpost and Navneet, the beat constable....
