Ayodhya, Feb. 22 -- Vice president of the Republic of Guyana Dr Bharrat Jagdeo visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Saturday, where he received a warm welcome in traditional Awadhi style. Dr Jagdeo offered prayers at the Ram Mandir and also visited Kuber Teela, Sapt Rishi Mandir and other temples within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. After participating in the AI Summit in Delhi, he arrived in Ayodhya and spent about 1.5 hours in the temple complex before departing for Guyana, temple trustee Anil Mishra said. The Guyana vice president arrived at Ayodhya Airport by private aircraft at around 11 am. He was welcomed with traditional conch blowing by public representatives on behalf of the state government, including Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi and other senior officials.
