Growing budget size will not benefit people: CLP leader
LUCKNOW, Feb. 21 -- Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Aradhana Mishra on Friday alleged that increasing budget size was a mere pretence. "If there is no expenditure to be done, what benefit does it provide to the people of the state by showing a large budget?," she asked.
"The government has neither the will to spend the budget nor to provide permanent jobs to the youth. The budget size is constantly increasing, but expenditures are the same as they were five years ago," Mishra alleged.
"This time, the government has presented a budget of Rs 9.12 lakh crore. Earlier, in 2025-26, the budget of Rs 8.8 lakh crore was presented, and in the winter session, a supplementary budget of Rs 24,000 crore, that is, a total of Rs 833,000 crore, but out of that, only Rs 5,17,000 crore was approved for schemes," she claimed. htc...
