LUCKNOW, Jan. 22 -- Traffic curbs are set to return in Lucknow just days after the city navigated congestion during a national conference, with Republic Day parade rehearsals and the main event scheduled to affect movement till January 26. "The first parade rehearsal will be held on January 22, followed by the full dress rehearsal on January 24 and the main parade on January 26. On all three days, traffic restrictions will be enforced from 6 am until the events conclude," Lucknow traffic department officials said on Wednesday. According to the traffic advisory, areas around Charbagh Railway Stadium, Bal Vidya Mandir, Rana Pratap Chowk, KKC, Qaiserbagh and Hazratganj will face the maximum impact, with several roads closed or diverted. The stretch in front of Charbagh railway station will be sealed early morning for parade formations, and vehicles from Alambagh, Mawaiya and nearby areas will be diverted via Qaiserbagh, Nattha crossing or Cantt. Movement towards Rana Pratap Chowk, KKC and Charbagh from Aishbagh, Loco, Sadar and Hewett Road will remain restricted, while traffic heading to Hazratganj from Banderiabagh, Kaiserbagh and Ashok Lat will be diverted through Gandhi Setu, Golf Club and Sikanderbagh. Restrictions will also apply around Husainaganj, Bapu Bhavan, Vidhan Sabha, Mayfair crossing, Subhash and Parivartan Chowk, and the KD Singh Babu Stadium area....
