LAKHIMPUR KHERI, Feb. 6 -- Four members of a family were killed when the car they were travelling in rammed into an unidentified heavy vehicle on national highway-730 near Lakhimpur Kheri's Jalalpur village under Gola Kotwali area early on Thursday morning, police said.Chief minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his grief over the accident and instructed the district administration to ensure prompt relief and rescue work. Poor visibility on the highway due to thick fog was said to be the reason for the tragic accident .A two-year-old girl escaped with minor injuries, they added. Sunil Singh along with his family and relatives was on his way to Dham Kunda village in Bahraich district from Delhi when the accident occurred. Gola DSP Ramesh Tiwari said the deceased were identified as Sunil Singh, 28, his wife Sudha Singh, 26, and his brother-in-law Santosh Singh, 25, and Mukesh Singh, 26, of Dharma Kunda village.While three of them died on the spot, Mukesh Singh succumbed to injuries during treatment at Lucknow medical college, the DSP added.
