Foundation Day celebrations end at Lalit Kala Akademi
LUCKNOW, Feb. 10 -- The three-day foundation day celebrations 'Lalit Kala Utsav' culminated at State Lalit Kala Akademi here on Monday. A live portrait demonstration was given by renowned painter Vasudeo Kamath who is also a Padma Shri recipient.
During the session, Kamath used Akademi fellow prof S. Pranam Singh as a model to create a life-like portrait, showcasing master-level techniques. As part of the celebrations, certificates were distributed to artists whose works were displayed at an exhibition and winners of various competitions. In the 'Tourism and Environment' painting competition, Vivekanand Rajak bagged the first prize, while Archit Verma and Maria Khatoon got second and third prize respectively.
The event also featured the release of the Akademi's art magazine and monographs and unveiling of the 'Kala Traimasik' (Art Quarterly) magazine along with monographs dedicated to the works of S Pranam Singh, Yogendra Nath Yogi and Dinesh Pratap Singh.
Director Amit Kumar Agnihotri said while the celebrations had ended, the 35th annual art exhibition will remain open for public until February 16 from 11 am to 7 pm.htc...
