LUCKNOW/GORAKHPUR, Jan. 9 -- Former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amitabh Thakur was shifted from Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College, Gorakhpur, to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow, early on Thursday after his health deteriorated. His condition is currently stated to be stable. According to sources in the cardiology department at the PGI, while being shifted to Lucknow, his condition reportedly worsened, prompting emergency CPR. He was admitted to SGPGI around 1 am for specialised cardiac care. Hospital sources said doctors are monitoring him continuously. Thakur was earlier admitted to BRD Medical College after he complained of severe chest pain in Deoria district jail where he had been lodged in connection with a plot fraud case....
