ED doesn't oppose plea, court grants bail to I-PAC director
New Delhi, May 1 -- A Delhi court on Thursday granted bail to Vinesh Chandel, director of political consultancy firm I-PAC, in a money laundering case after the Enforcement Directorate did not oppose his release, citing cooperation during the probe. The investigating officer told the court that Chandel had provided "certain valuable leads and information relevant to the ongoing investigation."
Additional sessions judge Amit Bansal of Patiala House Courts granted bail on a personal bond of Rs.2 lakh with one surety. ED has identified around Rs.50 crore in alleged proceeds of crime so far.
