Dehradun, May 7 -- Chief secretary Anand Bardhan on Wednesday ordered officials to ensure that road excavation, underground power cabling and topping works under the Dehradun underground power line project was complete by June. The orders were issued at a review meeting at the Secretariat in Dehradun. Energy department officials and district administration officials were present. The chief secretary ordered the Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (PITCUL) to complete the excavation, laying of cables and restoration of roads within the stipulated timeline to avoid inconvenience to residents. "The executing agency should avoid opening work at multiple locations across the city simultaneously," said Bardhan, adding that work must proceed on limited fronts and deploy the entire workforce available selectively to ensure completion.
