VARANASI, Feb. 18 -- District magistrate (DM) Satyendra Kumar on Tuesday directed officials to review the performance of their respective departments on the Chief Minister's Dashboard and improve their rankings. Chairing a review meeting on the progress of the Chief Minister's Dashboard and ongoing construction works, the district magistrate asked departments ranked C and D to take immediate steps to improve their performance. He instructed all officials to regularly monitor schemes under their departments and ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government welfare programmes. He warned that negligence in the implementation of schemes and execution of construction works would not be tolerated. The DM also directed that all projects be completed within the stipulated time frame while maintaining quality standards. Works that are within the deadline should be expedited without compromising on quality, he said. Projects requiring an extension must be supported with valid reasons. For those needing additional funds, departments should submit formal demands.
