LUCKNOW, Feb. 25 -- Divyang rehabilitation centres will be set up in all 18 divisions of UP with a budget of Rs.7 crore, said Narendra Kashyap, state minister for backward classes welfare and empowerment of persons with disabilities. These centres will strengthen the system for early identification, treatment and provision of disability equipment, he added. Addressing reporters at his residence here on Tuesday, he said: "The budget for the backward classes welfare department has been set at Rs.3,402 crore this year, while that for the empowerment of persons with disabilities department has been increased to Rs.2,140 crore."htc...
