Rudrapur, Feb. 6 -- Darshans at the famous Garjiya temple have been restricted till February 13 for strengthening work of the cliff of the temple. The irrigation department has been carrying out the work, said officials. "Offering prayers in the Garjiya temple have been prohibited from the safety point of view of the pilgrims as strengthening and renovation work is underway. Entries will be allowed after February 13, the prohibition period may be extended if the work doesn't complete," said Pramod Kumar, sub divisional magistrate, Ramnagar in Nainital district on Thursday. Famous Garjiya temple is located on the outskirts of Corbett tiger reserve (CTR) in Ramnagar. It is situated on a cliff of rock and in the middle of the Kosi river.
