Croatia PM, Iceland minister, French Navy chief visit Taj Mahal
Agra, Feb. 22 -- Croatia's Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic visited the Taj Mahal on Saturday, describing the monument as one that transcends time and borders as he applauded India's rich cultural heritage. Plenkovic, who was welcomed at the Agra airport by Uttar Pradesh minister for higher education Yogendra Upadhayay and chief secretary SP Goyal,
wrote in the visitors' book: "Before this magnificent monument to love and enduring remembrance, we express our deep respect for the rich cultural heritage of India. The Taj Mahal transcends time and borders, reminding us of the strength of family, devotion and the values that connect people around the world." Appreciating the hospitality extended to him, he wrote that he looks forward to further strengthening the friendship between the two countries.He also visited Agra Fort.
Meanwhile, Logi Mar Einarsson, Iceland's minister for culture, and Admiral Nicolas Vaujour, chief of the French Navy, also visited the Taj Mahal on Saturday. The Iceland minister described the Taj Mahal as the "most beautiful building" he had seen....
