MEERUT, March 15 -- Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday visited the Shakambhari Devi Siddhpeeth in Saharanpur district where he reviewed ongoing development works and assessed preparations for the upcoming Chaitra Navratri fair. The CM arrived at the helipad in Nagal Mafi by helicopter at around 3:45 pm. From there, he proceeded directly to the Siddhpeeth area to take stock of the development projects underway in and around the temple complex. During the visit, officials gave a detailed presentation outlining the progress of various infrastructure works being carried out to improve facilities for pilgrims and tourists visiting the shrine. Yogi first inspected several key projects under construction, including a toilet block, a tourist facilitation centre and a multi-level parking facility. Officials briefed him on the status of these projects and the broader development plans aimed at strengthening infrastructure in the temple area. A review meeting was also held with divisional and district officials to assess preparations for the upcoming Chaitra Navratri fair, which draws a large number of devotees to the temple every year. During the meeting, Yogi Adityanath directed officials to expedite development works in the Siddhpeeth area while ensuring high construction quality. He emphasised the need for timely completion of projects to enhance facilities for pilgrims and improve overall management during major religious gatherings.
