CLP leader for cut in ITI fee structure
LUCKNOW, Feb. 20 -- Congress Legislative Party leader Aradhana Mishra on Thursday raised the issue of ITIs and State Industrial Training Institutes in the UP legislative assembly.
"In rural areas, mostly children of farmers used to take training in Industrial Training Institutes where the fee was around Rs.700 to Rs.1000. But the BJP government has cheated those youth by running these institutes on PPP model that charge fees multiple times. This puts a heavy burden on the youth of the state," she claimed, demanding the fee structure be reduced. "Government Industrial Training Institutes started in rural areas during the Congress governments, which provided the youth of rural areas with job opportunity or self-employment, are being destroyed by the BJP government," she alleged. "It costs more than Rs 10 crore to build an ITI, but if training is not conducted there, what is the use of it?," she asked. htc...
