Class 10 student 'dies by suicide' day before U.P. Board exams
PRAYAGRAJ, Feb. 18 -- A 16-year-old high school girl student allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday, a day before the commencement of the UP Board examinations. Police said no suicide note was recovered from the scene.
The victim, a resident of a village in Pratapgarh, was a student at an Intermediate college in her village.

On Tuesday morning, the girl returned by train after collecting her admit card. Around 2pm, while her aunt was away at hospital duty, she allegedly hanged herself in the room using a dupatta. A neighboring youth noticed the incident and rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
A few days earlier, the victim had reportedly recorded a 3-minute and 45-second video that later went viral, in which she allegedly accused her father, brother, and maternal uncle of harassment and spoke about contemplating suicide. Police said the authenticity of the video has not yet been verified.
Prayagraj police, led by station house officer (SHO) Ashwani Singh, said no suicide note was recovered from the spot. Preliminary findings indicate a possible dispute with family members. The body has been sent for postmortem, and further investigation is underway, including questioning relatives and examining the viral video....
