Lucknow, Feb. 19 -- A woman displayed courage and thwarted a chain-snatching attempt in Sector 11 of Vrindavan Colony on Tuesday morning. The victim, Rita, was sitting outside her house when a youth arrived on a motorcycle. According to reports, the suspect circled the colony twice on the pretext of asking for an address before leaving the spot. A short while later, he returned and suddenly tried to snatch Rita's chain. She resisted and managed to grab hold of him. The accused allegedly accelerated the motorcycle in an attempt to flee, causing her to fall on the road. Despite the fall, she raised an alarm, drawing the attention of neighbours. As residents rushed out of their houses, the accused pushed her and sped away from the scene. Station house officer Dhirendra Kumar Singh of PGI Police Station said no written complaint had been received so far. However, police are scanning CCTV footage from the area and teams have been formed to trace the accused....
