Car carrying wedding party members crashes into divider, eight injured
PRAYAGRAJ, Dec. 8 -- A car carrying wedding party members lost its way and later collided with a road divider, injuring eight members.
According to reports, Ankit Kumar, a resident of the Puramufti area in Prayagraj, was returning home late at night with relatives in a car after attending a wedding in Amaon in the Khaga area of Fatehpur district on behalf of the groom's side.
The driver, following Google Maps, started heading in the opposite direction toward Ajaon when he lost his way. Around 1:30 am, as the Innova reached a petrol pump near Ajuha town, the driver lost control. The speeding Innova then collided with the road divider, injuring eight people inside.
Hearing the cries of the injured occupants, passersby informed the Saini Kotwali police about the incident. Anshuman Mishra, the In-charge of the Ajuha police outpost, reached the spot and sent the eight injured occupants, including Ankit Kumar, Mehtab, Sanjeev Kumar, Shiv Kumar, Ramkumar, Vijay Kumar, Ravi, and Chunnu, to CHC Sirathu by ambulance. Doctors there, after assessing the condition of Ankit and Mehtab as critical, ref-erred them to SRN Hospital, Prayagraj....
