kanpur, Jan. 30 -- A group of men chased a passenger bus for nearly 70 km on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and assaulted its driver and conductor after forcing it to stop, police said on Thursday. The incident occurred around 12.30 am on Wednesday near Sheetalganj village under Bangarmau police station limits. Driver Rajesh Kumar Singh and conductor Bablu were dragged out and beaten, and threatened with death if they approached police. Passengers protested and recorded the assault, prompting the attackers to flee. An FIR has been registered against four named and two unidentified accused. Preliminary inquiry suggests that the attack was triggered by a dispute over a missed bus. Police said one of the car occupants had booked a ticket to Delhi on the same bus but arrived late at the bus stand and missed the departure. htc...
