Budaun man shot dead, wife, her relative booked
Meerut, Jan. 30 -- The wife of the deceased and her relative have been found to be involved in the murder of a scrap businessman Aseeruddin who was shot dead on January 26 in Bhadsiya village under the Qadarchowk police station area of Badaun district.
The accused, who were allegedly having an affair, killed Aseeruddin with the help of other accomplices as they considered him as an obstacle in their relationship.
Claiming to have cracked the case, the cops are now on the lookout for the accused.
Based on a complaint filed by the father of the deceased, Isharuddin, the police have registered a case of murder against wife Arshi, her relative Gulfam, and several unidentified persons, and have launched raids to arrest the accused.
According to the police and the post-mortem report, Aseeruddin was shot twice in the head, resulting in his death. After the murder, the body was allegedly dumped in a wheat field in the village to mislead investigators.
In his complaint, Isharuddin stated that after his son's wife died, he married his sister-in-law Arshi in 2016. However, after the marriage, Arshi rarely lived with him in the village, and stayed either in Delhi with her relative Gulfam or at her parental home.
Aseeruddin himself had been living in Delhi, where he was involved in the scrap business. He returned to his native village around ten days prior to the incident. The father has alleged that on Monday night (January 26) at around 8 pm, Arshi, along with Gulfam and some unidentified accomplices from the village, shot Aseeruddin dead and later dumped his body in a nearby wheat field.
Following the complaint and the post-mortem findings, the police registered an FIR under relevant sections against the named accused and unknown persons.
Multiple police teams have been deployed to trace and arrest those involved in the crime.
Badaun senior superintendent of police Brijesh Kumar Singh said that the case has been registered on the basis of the written complaint and the post-mortem report. "The police team is thoroughly investigating the matter. Action will be taken against all those found involved on the basis of evidence," he said....
