GORAKHPUR, Jan. 25 -- Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Member of Parliament (MP), on Saturday, indicated that he may change his constituency in the 2029 Lok Sabha elections and is unlikely to contest again from Kaiserganj. Speaking to mediapersons, Singh said the name of the constituency would be disclosed at an appropriate time. He said that when the Lok Sabha elections approach, a decision would be taken on the seat, adding that the entire Uttar Pradesh remained his political region. A multiple-time MP from Kaiserganj, Singh said his electoral plans for 2029 would remain flexible. The senior BJP leader also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that by ignoring the sentiments of a large section of the Hindu community, Rahul Gandhi could not aspire to become Prime Minister, adding that leadership required clarity of stand. Responding to allegations against him, Singh claimed that a conspiracy was carried out against him and said that no one had faced such a situation at the level he had.
