VARANASI, May 3 -- Police investigating the murder of a bridgegroom-to-be in his marriage procession late on Friday night, in Jaunpur, said on Saturday that a relative of the bride, displeased with the marriage, was responsible for the attack. Pradeep Bind, a resident of Chiksawan in Bardah area of Azamgarh, a relative of the bride, along with his accomplice, Ravi Yadav, a resident of Sondhi, police station, Khetasarai, shot at Azad Bind (the bridegroom-to-be). Azad was taken to the hospital where doctors declared him dead. Based on a complaint filed by Ram Lakhan Bind, a case under section 103 (1) (murder) BNS against Pradeep Bind and Ravi Yadav was registered at Kheyasarai police station, said superintendent of police, Kunwar Anupam Singh.
