Botswana min lauds BLW
VARANASI, Dec. 28 -- Botswana's minister of transport and infrastructure Noah Salakae on Saturday lauded the state-of-the-art locomotive manufacturing capabilities of Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) during an official visit to the Varanasi-based unit.
During the visit, the minister examined various modern locomotives manufactured at BLW, their production processes and advanced technical features, said BLW public relations officer Rajesh Kumar.
Salakae was welcomed by principal chief electrical engineer Sushil Kumar Shrivastava, following which he undertook a detailed inspection of BLW workshops under the leadership of chief mechanical engineer (production & marketing) Sunil Kumar.
Later, a presentation at the GM conference hall outlined BLW's production capacity, export activities, achievements and indigenous locomotive technologies. Shrivastava also explained key technical features of BLW-built locomotives. HTC...
