LUCKNOW, Feb. 5 -- A man found hanging from a tree nearly 60 feet above the ground behind Lucknow's Charbagh railway station on Wednesday triggered a complex five-hour rescue operation involving police, fire services and SDRF teams. Police said the Husainganj police station received information around 2:00 pm that a man, in his 30s, was seen hanging from a tree behind the station premises. When police reached the spot, they found the body hanging high above the ground with the help of a scarf. Initial attempts by local police to bring the body down proved unsuccessful due to the height and dense branches of the tree. Fire brigade and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams were then called in. Access to the spot was difficult and a normal ladder could not reach the height. Eventually, a hydraulic platform machine was brought in to assist the rescue. Fire service officials said the team had to manually operate the hydraulic platform and cut through thick branches to reach the body. The operation was completed after multiple attempts amid logistical challenges near the busy railway area. Police said efforts are underway to establish the identity of the deceased using photographs and local inquiries. htc...
