lucknow, Dec. 31 -- Several key issues, including filling of vacant posts in several corporations, appointment of nominated corporators in municipal corporations and forthcoming panchayat polls, were discussed at the BJP's core group meeting on Tuesday, the first after the appointment of Pankaj Chaudhary as the party's new state president. Deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, former UP BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary and regional RSS pracharak Anil Singh were present in the meeting. After the appointment of Pankaj Chaudhary, the long overdue expansion of the state council of ministers and changes in the organisation are next on the party's agenda. These changes are likely to take place after Makar Sankranti on January 14-15, 2026.
