Varanasi, Feb. 3 -- Vice-chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, prof Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi, attended a hands-on demonstration of the Da Vinci Xi Robotic System at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS-BHU) on Monday. The advanced system, housed in a specialised mobile unit, is considered the gold standard in minimally invasive surgery. The session was co-attended by IMS director prof SN Sankhwar. The VC expressed hope for the installation of a robotic system at IMS soon.
