Bangladeshi national deported after completing jail term
LUCKNOW, Feb. 18 -- A Bangladeshi national, who illegally crossed over to India, was deported after completing his jail term. Yash Khan was dispatched to the Bangladesh border in strict adherence to international protocols, authorities said on Tuesday.
The operation was supervised by Chinhat inspector Om Prakash Yadav and local intelligence unit (LIU) in-charge Prem Prakash Pandey. Khan was apprehended by Chinhat police in November 2022 and booked under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act.
After serving his sentence, he was released on December 12, 2025, and remained under the custodial supervision of Chinhat police pending deportation formalities.
On Monday, following the completion of all statutory legal procedures, a police team led by inspector Yadav escorted Khan towards the Bangladesh border for repatriation.
