kolkata, Jan. 6 -- The Bangladesh government on Monday banned the telecast of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL), two days after the Indian cricket board directed Kolkata Knight Riders to release the country's fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman from their squad amid strained bilateral relations. The decision came a day after the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) wrote to the International Cricket Council (ICC) asking for its matches in the T20 World Cup to be moved out of India to Sri Lanka, the co-hosts of the February-March tournament. IPL is scheduled to begin on March 26. "No logical reason for such a decision (Rahman's release) by the BCCI is known...," said the Bangladesh government statement.P14...
