Atal Residential School students visit ISRO
VARANASI, Feb. 8 -- Two Class 7 students of Atal Residential School, Varanasi, interacted with scientists at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and learned about space science during a three-day educational tour from February 5 to 7.
Aparna and Shreyansh Vishwakarma visited the Satish Dhawan Space Centre of ISRO in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, where they met scientists and gained insights into space science and the organisation's activities.
Satyendra Prasad Singh, principal of Atal Residential School, said the two students were selected based on their top performance in Mathematics and Science in Class 6. During the visit, they learned about various space missions and research work carried out by ISRO scientists.
Deputy labour commissioner of Varanasi region, Dr Mahesh Kumar Pandey, said the students were introduced to the working of ISRO and interacted with prominent scientists, helping them understand scientific concepts and space research.
As part of the tour, the students also visited historical and religious sites, including the Mahabalipuram temple, museums and beaches in Chennai....
