LUCKNOW, April 30 -- The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has intensified its push for property tax collection by announcing April 30 as the last day to avail a 10% rebate on online payments, prompting a likely surge in last-minute compliance across the city. Officials said the rebate will drop to 8% for online payments and 6% for offline payments from May 1. LMC chief tax assessment officer Ashok Singh confirmed that the civic body has extended counter timings across all eight zones from 10 am to 8 pm on April 30 to manage the anticipated rush. "We want to ensure that every eligible taxpayer gets a fair chance to avail the maximum rebate," he said.
