Anil Ambani's Pali Hill house attached by ED
New Delhi, Feb. 26 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) said on Wednesday it has attached the Palli Hill residence, valued at Rs.3,716 crore, of industrialist Anil Ambani in its money laundering probe against Reliance Communications Ltd (RCOM).
With the latest action, cumulative attachment of Reliance group's properties by ED now stands at Rs.15,700 crore, the agency said in a press release.
"ED Special Task Force has provisionally attached the Pali Hill residential property 'Abode' of Anil Ambani worth Rs.3,716.83 crores under the provisions of prevention of money laundering act, 2002 (PMLA). Earlier, part of this property was attached to the extent of Rs.473.17 crores," ED said in a statement on Wednesday.
Ambani filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court earlier this month undertaking not to leave the country without the court's prior permission and asserting that he was not involved in the day-to-day affairs of the companies under investigation....
