Agra, Jan. 1 -- A research scholar, Basree in the department of Applied Chemistry at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been selected to take part in the 17th HOPE Meeting with Nobel Laureates 2026. The meeting will be held in Tsukuba, Japan, from March 2 to 6, 2026. She is pursuing her PhD under the guidance of Dr Musheer Ahmad. Basree was nominated by the department of Science and Technology, Government of India, and later selected by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science to represent India. The HOPE meeting brings together Nobel Laureates and young researchers from around the world. The DST will sponsor her travel, while JSPS will cover local expenses in Japan. Basree works on metal-organic frameworks for sensing, environmental and energy applications. She has several publications, a patent and conference presentations.
