LUCKNOW, Jan. 21 -- Gomti Nagar railway station wore a festive look on Tuesday morning as the Dibrugarh-Gomti Nagar Amrit Bharat inaugural special train arrived for the first time, marking a major boost in rail connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and the northeastern states. Northeastern Railway (NER) officials and staff welcomed the loco pilots, train manager and passengers at the station. Mahesh Gupta, PRO of NER, Lucknow, said the trains offer a fast, safe and comfortable journey in general and sleeper classes, with premium facilities but at economical fares. According to a press note issued by NER, the regular weekly service of train number 15949, the Dibrugarh-Gomti Nagar Amrit Bharat Express, will begin on January 30, departing from Dibrugarh every Friday night. The return service, train number 15950 Gomti Nagar-Dibrugarh Amrit Bharat Express, will commence on February 2, with departures from Gomti Nagar every Sunday evening....
