Advanced medical systems inaugurated
PRAYAGRAJ, Jan. 29 -- North Central Railway (NCR) general manager Naresh Pal Singh on Wednesday inaugurated two state-of-the-art medical systems at the NCR Central Hospital. The newly commissioned facilities include the latest model multi-programmable dental chair in the Department of Dentistry and the VITEK(R) 2 Compact System in the Department of Pathology.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Manjulata Handoo, assistant chief health director (ACHD-Dental), announced the commissioning of the advanced dental chair, which is equipped with an inbuilt scaler, light-cure unit, micromotor, intra-oral camera, RVG, and a portable X-ray unit. These features will enable instant imaging and prompt diagnosis, significantly enhancing dental care services.
She added that the system has been further augmented with a periodontal laser, allowing biopsy and gum treatments with minimal trauma and negligible bleeding, thereby improving patient comfort and clinical outcomes.
