LUCKNOW, Jan. 22 -- Former India Under-19 World Cupper, Adarsh Singh will lead 23-member Uttar Pradesh team in the remaining three league matches of the Under-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy as regular captain Sameer Rizvi has been injured and is in rehab. Despite being at the fourth position in Elite Group D with 21 points in three matches so far, Uttar Pradesh have a chance to qualify for the knockout. In the second and the final half of the domestic season, Uttar Pradesh will be relaunching their campaign with a match against hosts Chhattisgarh at Bhilai from Friday before playing against Uttarakhand at Rampur from January 30 and against Chandigarh at Kanpur from February 6. Kanpur's Adarsh has done well in the UPT20 League and was one of the key batters in Uttar Pradesh's runners-up finish in this season's Men's State A Trophy.
