655 roads still blocked in Himachal
Dharamshala, Jan. 30 -- : As road connectivity continues to remain affected in several parts of Himachal Pradesh following recent rain and snowfall, as many as 655 roads, including three national highways, remained blocked across the state on Thursday.
Lahaul-Spiti district was the worst affected, with 285 roads blocked, followed by Shimla with 135 roads, Kullu with 80 roads, and Mandi with 77 roads blocked. In Chamba district, 40 roads remained closed, while 27 roads were blocked in Kinnaur district.
In Lahaul-Spiti, National Highway-03 and National Highway-505 remained blocked at various locations. Meanwhile, National Highway-305 was blocked at Jalori Pass due to snowfall in Kullu district.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) office in Shimla has predicted light rain or snowfall at isolated places over the higher reaches of the state on January 30, and light to moderate rain or snowfall at a few places on January 31.
