Jaipur, May 7 -- Six women fell ill following caesarean deliveries at Kota Medical College Hospital, with one of them dying on Wednesday, officials said, as the deceased's families accused the hospital staff of negligence. Principal of Kota Medical College, Dr Prasun Jain, said: "All of them were admitted on Monday, when their surgeries took place. On Tuesday, their conditions deteriorated drastically and they had to be shifted to the super speciality block. On Wednesday, one of them passed away." Officials said all six developed a kidney infection post-surgery. "Prima facie, their blood pressure dropped while several of them also had breathing issues. Initial tests suggested some infection in their kidneys. But it is yet not clear how it happened to all of them," Jain said. The deceased's was identified as Payal (32). According to a press release from the hospital, Kota Medical College has formed a five-member committee to probe the matter. The state health department also formed another four-member committee from the Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh Hospital that will reach Kota on Thursday....
