5,000 VVIPs on guest list for Ram Temple's ceremony
LUCKNOW, Feb. 16 -- The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust will invite around 5,000 VVIPs for a mega ceremony at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on March 19, the first day of Navratri, with President Droupadi Murmu attending as the chief guest.
During the ceremony, the President will install the Shri Ram Yantra on the temple's second floor.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Governor Anandiben Patel, along with other dignitaries, will also attend, according to the trust.
A four-member delegation from the Ram Temple Trust visited Rashtrapati Bhavan in January to formally invite the President.
The President will honour approximately 400 workers involved in the temple's construction.
Trust officials will meet SSP Gaurav Grover and DM Nikhil Tikaram Funde on February 23 to finalise preparations.
The programme outline will be discussed at the meeting.
