LUCKNOW, Jan. 12 -- A 40-year-old cyclist died after being crushed by a speeding car that lost control and overturned in the Mohanlalganj area of Lucknow on Sunday morning, police said. The accident occurred around 7:30 am near Fatehkheda village. The deceased was identified as Rambaran, a resident of Fatehkheda Majra Kanakha. The driver of vehicle fled but was later apprehended by police. Eyewitnesses said a tyre burst caused the driver to lose control, trapping Rambaran under the vehicle and leaving him critically injured. Mohanlalganj police rushed the man to Mohanlalganj CHC, where doctors declared him dead on arrival. "The driver has also been detained. Further legal action is underway," police added. htc...
