Agra, Feb. 7 -- Four police personnel, including a Special Operation Group (SOG) in-charge, had been suspended for allegedly thrashing and threatening a railway crossing gateman at gunpoint for refusing to open a barrier at Mainpuri's Dindoli on February 2, officials said. The officials who were suspended are SOG chief Jitendra Chandel and his team members Mahendra Kumar, Mohan Kumar and Pradeep Solanki. On the night of the incident, they were travelling from Sirsaganj in Firozabad to Mainpuri. Upon reaching the Dindoli railway crossing, the police team found the barrier shut since the Kalindi Express was scheduled to pass through. As such, the cops asked gateman Avadh Kishore posted at railway crossing gate number 29 to allow them pass through, but Kishore reportedly refused to lift the barrier. A video of the alleged assault has been doing the rounds on social media. The Mainpuri SP has also ordered an enquiry. htc...
