30 sheep killed in train accident
Gorakhpur, Jan. 1 -- At least 30 sheep were killed when the 15105 Nautanwa-Gorakhpur Intercity Express struck a herd near Lohrpurwa Railway Halt Station on Wednesday at 11.30 am. The train was halted for 15 minutes, and the loco pilot and guard informed the control room before resuming. RPF personnel cleared the track with a JCB. Dense fog, poor visibility, and grazing livestock caused the accident. This was the second incident on the route in five days; on December 26, 10 cattle were killed in Maharajganj.
