2 killed in US Nagar after bike collides with car: Police
Rudrapur, March 27 -- Two youths were killed on Wednesday night after their motorcycle collided head-on with a car near Chakarpur in Udham Singh Nagar district, police said on Thursday.
The accident occurred between Chakarpur and the Jagbuda bridge on the Tanakpur road in Khatima area, around three kilometres from the Chakarpur police outpost. According to police, the impact of the collision was so severe that the motorcycle's engine broke apart and got lodged inside the car's engine compartment. "We rushed to the spot and sent the injured to the government hospital in Khatima through an ambulance. However, doctors declared both of them dead on arrival," said Vikas Kumar, in-charge of the Chakarpur police outpost. Police identified the deceased as Naved Khan (29) and Naman Maurya (26), both residents of Ward 13 in Khatima. Officials said the two youths were travelling towards Khatima when their motorcycle collided with the oncoming car on the Tanakpur road.
